Nei treni notturni gli animali,ad eccezione dei cani guida, non potranno accedere ai vagoni letto o alle cuccette.

I cani guida o di servizio sono autorizzati ad accompagnare i propri padroni nei luoghi dove gli animali non sono normalmente accettati.

I cani che accompagnano passeggeri in sedia a rotelle sul X2000 devo viaggiare nella cabina numero 6.

You are allowed to bring two accompanying animals at no extra cost on our day-time trains. Over this limit you are charged SEK 102 per animal. You buy your ticket at an SJ travel office (SJ Resebutik) or telephone: 0771-75 75 75.

Remember to book your own seat in the "pets allowed" area. If you wish your pet to have its own seat, you will have to pay the standard youth fare. On the night train no animals, with the exception of guide dogs, may be accommodated in sleeping or couchette cars.

Guide dogs or service dogs are allowed to accompany you in places where animals are not normally allowed (read more under "sight impaired"; see the link below). Service dogs accompanying passengers in wheelchairs on the X 2000 must travel in carriage no. 6.

Help for the sight-impaired
For those of you with impaired sight there are various aids both at the stations and on your trip.
At the station
There are clearly marked signs with clear letters and good contrast which are easy to read. Many stations have a speaker system where the train arrival and departure times are announced.
On the train
You can get food and drink served to your seat. Ask the personnel onboard. They're glad to help.
Guide dogs
Guide dogs may accompany you without any extra charge in the following areas on SJ's trains:

o X 2000: "Specialsalong" in 2nd class
o InterCity: Compartments in 2nd and 1st class, "specialsalong" (certain trains)
o Regional trains: in carriages where pets are allowed
o Night trains: Own booked compartment in a couchette, sleeper or private compartment. You can travel with a guide dog on the night train when you yourself have total access to the entire compartment, or together with a travelling companion. So that we can clean throughly after guide dogs we ask you to book your ticket on 0771 -75 75 75.

You can get assistance at all larger stations as well as when changing trains if you order this at least the day before departure through SJ Kundtjänst (SJ customer service), telephone 0771-75 75 99. Read more under assistance to the left.
